Baggage and security check

Hand luggage

For flights to and from Dinard Airport, one small piece of hand luggage per passenger will be allowed.  

  • Ryanair's flights: a single 10 kg luggage, dimensions 55x40x20 cm
  • Aurigny Air Services' flights: a single 6 kg luggage, dimensions 43x35x17 cm

 

Security check: 

For all flights and all destinations: 

  • The following items are prohibited in hand luggage: knives (including some penknives), scissors, manicure sets, sharp objects, weapons (including collector's pieces and toys), etc.
    Any such objects detected at security controls will be removed from passengers and destroyed.
  • The following items are permitted in the cabin with restrictions or prohibitions on their use:
    - Use prohibited during taxiing, takeoff and landing: lagtop computers, camcorders, electric razors, radios, televisions, personal stereos, etc.
    - Use prohibited throughout the flight: mobile phones, CB radio, 2-ways radios, remote controls.
  • Items permitted in the cabin: food for infants or young children required for the journey ; special medication or food items accompanied by a medical presciption in the passenger's name ; liquids, gels, creams, aerosols and pastes, which be stored in containers of 100ml maximum, placed in a single closed transparent bag one liter capacity maximum ; one bag only per passenger. If you are insure about any item, consult your airline before packing.
  • Security check:
    Items to be placed in the tray: keys and money, belts, glasses, laptop computers taken out of their case, coats and jackets, large electrical items, mobile phone.
    Items to be presented to the security staff: 1L plastic bag containing liquids, gels, creams, aerosols and pastes.
  • Recommendation:
    - Use this to carry fragile or valuable objects, photographic film, medicine, and any perishables.
    - Clearly label your luggage with your name and address. This will help us to reunite you with your luggage if it is lost.

Hold baggage

 

  • Ryanair’s flights: a passenger can check in up to 2 baggage with maximum of 15 kg per luggage, with charges (2010/01/21= 15€ on Internet by section for the 1st baggage cheked in). Stroller canes are transported free of charges.
  • Aurigny Air Services’ flights: weight allowance = 15 kg
  • Dangerous objects for which transport by air is prohibited: items which are explosive, flammable (lighters and matches), corrosive, irritant, toxic, radioactive, or magnetic, chlorine, paint, and compressed gases.
  • Recommendation:
    - Pack as many items as possible in your hold baggage and keep in your hand luggage only what you absolutely need for your journey.
    - Clearly label your luggage with name and address.

Excess baggage

The charges of hold luggage are established according to the weight and to the number of checked in baggage.
At the time of booking, you have to specify the number of luggage that you will present to the check in.
The maximal weight allowance is 15 kg.

Special baggage

For special or overweight baggage, you have to contact your airline for further information on procedures and charges.  

Complaints

If your luggage is damaged or delayed, you have to contact the airport's information desk as soon as you arrived.

Unattended luggage

Please look after your own luggage. Each unattented luggage is treated as suspicious and will be destroyed.
Please watch out for unattented luggage and advise a member of airport staff if necessary.
